About Nevada Criminal History

Nevada criminal records are divided among statewide and local custodians. The Nevada Criminal History Repository holds the central fingerprint-linked history, the Nevada Department of Corrections maintains state-prison information, and the Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry supplies community-notification records. Trial-court files and local arrest materials stay with courts and agencies in Nevada's 17 county equivalents. Nevada Criminal History brings those routes together so readers can identify the proper official system or local records office.

Why We Built This Site

Public access in Nevada depends on choosing the right custodian. The Nevada Criminal History Repository compiles information reported by criminal-justice agencies, but it does not replace an originating arrest report or trial-court file. The Nevada Department of Corrections tracks people in state custody, while the Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry publishes the records authorized for community notification. County sheriffs, local police departments, jails, and trial courts create much of the underlying material. Nevada Criminal History organizes the statewide routes and connects readers with the county directory when the requested file remains local.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Nevada court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. There are firm limits on the help available:

  • We cannot issue certified court documents, rap sheets, or other official records
  • We cannot give legal advice about a Nevada charge, case, or sealing petition
  • We cannot submit record requests, sealing petitions, or other forms for a visitor
  • We cannot retrieve a criminal record or perform an official background check
  • We cannot promise that every listed address, fee, or phone number remains current

Only the Nevada Criminal History Repository, an issuing court, or the county office that created a record can supply its official copy. Nevada Criminal History can identify the likely custodian, but the record must come from that government office.

Search Partners

Third-party providers operate search boxes that appear on some pages. They control their own results, prices, and services. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for Nevada Criminal History, which supports free visitor access. Nevada Criminal History does not set partner charges or determine what their searches return.
